The Beaches are coming to DC on May 25th, opening for Passion Pit at The Anthem. Let’s enjoy the show.
The Toronto, Ontario band get their name from the neighborhood that three of the members grew up in. They started as a band in their early teens, then updated their name and sound in 2013.
The Beaches is Jordan Miller (vocals and bass), Kylie Miller (guitar), Leandra Earl (guitar and keyboards) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums).
They have one album to their credit, 2017’s Late Show, and three EPs, including 2019’s The Professional.
The single “Snake Tongue” is a sunny, fuzzed out song, yet lashes out at how poorly men often treat women when hitting on them, and how women can take back control.
This is definitely a band you should give a chance! And see Passion Pit while you’re at it.
