The sublime sounds of Canadian indie pop will soon be at your doorstep!

U Street Music Hall has been getting a lot of good artists and bands lately, I keep ending up there.

Next to put on your must list is Lydia Ainsworth, a pop singer and composer from Toronto, performing at UHall on Sunday, May 5th.

Lydia is touring for her third album Phantom Forest, out on May 10th. The songs are artful and dreamy, with an edge of different perspectives as she sings as three personas; herself, Mother Nature, and a Greek Chorus.

“Tell Me I Exist” uses haunting strings and a slinky beat beneath Lydia’s electrically enhanced vocals.

“Can You Find Her Place” is more catchy and upbeat (is that a xylophone?), focusing on the strength of Mother Nature.

She’s opening for a fellow Canadian band, the electronic TR/ST.

Don’t miss out!

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $17. Doors open at U Street Music Hall at 7pm. Headliner is TR/ST.
