Dizzy returns to DC with a full album of wonderful songs.
The Canadian dream-pop band, Dizzy, will open for Tokyo Police Club at DC9 on March 15th.
We had the chance to catch their too short set in 2017 at the Rock and Roll Hotel, and are excited to see they’ve released their first full album called Baby Teeth in late 2018. Their dream-pop songs are really fantastic, like the bright, uplifting “Stars and Moons” and “Swim”. Looking forward to catching up on the rest of the album.
Their latest single is “Backstroke”, a ballad about keeping yourself afloat in hard times.
Dizzy is from the suburb Oshawa, Ontario (outside of Toronto) and consists of three brothers and their friend Katie Munshaw on lead vocals. The brothers are Alex Spencer (guitar), Mackenzie Spencer (bass) and Charlie Spencer (drums and synthesizer).
The show is sold out (DC9 seems like a small venue for Tokyo Police Club but should therefore be even a cooler show), but that’s no excuse because DC9 has a nifty resale option for people who can no longer go to a show they bought tickets for. You could score a ticket!
Check for tickets on DC9’s fan resale site here.
Show is sold out. Doors open at DC9 at 7:30pm. Show at 8pm. Headliner is Tokyo Police Club.
