Another year, another DC Beer Fest!
Celebrate when spring finally arrives with the drinking of lovely beer. Lots of it. Not that you need a special excuse, but the first of two annual DC Beer Fests takes place on April 20th at Nationals Park.
The all-you-can-drink event organized by Drink Eat Play features over 80 breweries and 200 different beers. That includes DC breweries like 3 Stars, Right Proper and Atlas Brew Works. Other interesting breweries to check out are Wild Wolf (VA), Caboose (VA), Union (MD) and Hardywood (VA), all of which I’ve also visited in the last couple years. Hardywood’s Gingerbread Stout is delicious, but as this is a Spring event, expect more IPAs and lighter lagers.
You’ll also find plenty of food trucks. Try out the VIP version this time, you can go down on the Nationals Park warning track and dugouts, and receive commemorative tasting glasses and DC Beer Fest knit hats.
