Things are about to get soulful.

Arleigh Kincheloe (better known as Sister Sparrow), is touring with her brass-heavy band, The Dirty Birds, and they will perform at the 9:30 Club on November 29th.

Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, of New York City, just released their fourth full-length album called Gold, which is chock full of soul-rock and pop sounds that will make you stand and take notice. And dance. You will certainly dance.

The band has been around since 2008 in various configurations and aside from Arleigh, currently is Jackson Kincheloe (harmonica), Josh Myers (bass), Dan Boyden (drums), Phil Rodriguez (trumpet), and Brian Graham (saxophones).

One single, “Ghost”, is a funky track that is lifted high by Arleigh’s booming, all-encompassing voice. Now I’m dancing.

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $20. Doors open at the 9:30 Club at 7pm. Opener is The Rad Trads.
