Sometimes we like wine!
It’s true, once in a while we set aside the craft beer, and take a sip of wine. The Virginia Wine Festival is coming up the weekend of October 13 and 14 over in Rosslyn at the Gateway Park.
Why attend this wine festival? You’ll find over 280 wineries, which is impossible to sample from all of them! Virginia is the 8th largest wine-producing state in the US*. They also have roughly 280 wineries (6th most in the US), so maybe they’ll all be there? With so many good and idyllic wineries, you could spend a lifetime exploring. So get the distilled version for a few hours, pick your favorite wines, and then go explore those wineries!
Secondly, it’s relatively cheap compared to other alcohol festivals.
We recommend going on Sunday, simply because Snallygaster AND the H Street Festival are on Saturday, October 13th.
Find the list of wineries here.
There will also be plenty of tasty food trucks on hand, plus an Oyster Pavilion! Other vendors will have stalls, and local bands will perform while you sip your wine.

GA Tickets are $40. 12-6pm. (VIP $65. 11am-6pm).
