Go early to the Father John Misty show and catch Bully!
Bully is a punk rock band that you will want to know about.
Hitting up The Anthem on Thursday, August 2nd, they open this time around but had a headlining gig last November at Uhall. Their second album, Losing, dropped in late 2017 on Sub Pop Records.
From Nashville, this rocking band is Alicia Bognanno on vocals, Clayton Parker on guitar and Reece Lazarus on bass. It seems like their drummer (not that Stewart Copeland) recently left, but there will be one at the show!
Alicia can reach levels of grungy screams like in “Seeing It”, that even the likes of a Kurt Cobain could admire. Their sound harkens back to the era when grunge reigned, all coming together in rough and ready songs like “Running” or “Guess There” from the new album. All that to say, it’s fantastic.
At any rate, I won’t bully you to attend this concert, but you’ll regret missing it. And why not stay to see Father John Misty while you’re at it?
