Meridian Pint – Central Waters Tap Takeover
If you haven’t had any barrel-aged beers from Wisconsin’s Central Waters, you don’t know what you are missing! I’ve had a few of their limited release beers and they have never disappointed. Both Central Waters Black Gold and XX are rated over 4.5 on Untappd, which is higher than any beers at Savor. Central Waters will have about 10 beers on draft.

Churchkey – Official SAVOR Event with Bluejacket, Hardywood, and RAR
Be the first to try the new collaborations beers by Bluejacket, Hardywood and RAR of Nashville Skyline (juice bomb; DDH with Vic Secret and citra; finishes with pineapple, pink guava, mango, apricot, tangerine and blood orange) and My Favorite Things (imperial stout with lactose, cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup). Churchkey – Rare & Obscure – 24 Out-of-Market Drafts!

Meridian Pint – Fremont + Perennial present Unicorn Tears
If you haven’t heard of Unicorn Tears, it’s because it’s a super rare beer that’s never been available in DC before. It’s a collaboration from two of my favorite breweries of Fremont and Perennial. Unicorn Tears is a 12.9% imperial stout brewed with oats, lactose, and cherries before being aged is oak bourbon barrels. Other beers that will be on draft from these standout breweries include, but aren’t limited to: Perennial Vanilla Abraxas, Fremont Rusty Nail, Fremont BBA Dark Star, Fremont Coffee Cinnamon B-Bomb, Perennial Citra Paradisi and more!

Roofers Union – Seattle Night (Fremont & Reuben’s Brews)
Two awesome Seattle breweries under one roof in DC with 16 beers on draft! Hopefully it will be a cloudy day to get the full Seattle experience. Some of the beers available will be Fremont B-Bomb, Fremont BA Dark Star, Fremont Head Full of Dynamite, Reuben’s Some Random Crush, Reuben’s Gose (my favorite gose), Reuben’s Haze in the Hood, Reuben’s BBA Imperial Breakfast Stout and more!

The Sovereign – Crooked Stave Showcase
If you love sours, especially fruit sours, and you haven’t Crooked Stave yet, go to this event. A couple of years ago I visited the Crooked Stave brewery in Denver and it surpassed the considerable hype. I’ll put this way, I have several bottles of Crooked Stave beers in my cellar, and I can’t find an event that warrants opening them. As for this event, there will be 10 beers from Crooked Stave on tap. Go to this event if you like sours.
Doors open at 5 pm.

Jack Rose will be opening early at 3 pm on Saturday for some afternoon drinking before Savor. Enjoy some rare beers from Allagash, Boulevard, DogFish Head, New Belgium, Ommegang and Stone. Among the rarities will be Allagash Coolship Red. This beer has a special place in my heart, for it was the beer that made me a sour beer fan when I had it as a Savor several years ago.

I like craft beers, a lot. So far I've had over 4,600 different beers and have been to 126 breweries in 27 states plus DC. Always looking to try something new, except when it is from the Bud Light "____ ____ rita" family. Follow my adventures in craft beer on Untappd at
