Concert Pick: Reptaliens @ 9:30 Club (2/17/18)

Join the cult of Reptaliens at the 9:30 Club!

They open for the indie rock band STRFKR from Portland, Oregon on February 17th!

Also from Portland, the husband and wife duo (Cole and Bambi Browning) gave life to the band, Reptaliens. The name is whimsically inspired by sci-fi themed art and cult mentality.

Their debut album is FM-2030, released in October 2017. The title is an ode to Fereidoun M. Esfandiary, a futurist and transhumanist that changed his name to FM-2030 to break free of normal naming conventions. My new name is JB-2073.

The video for the single ‘Ubik’ rocks sun-worshipers in hazmat suits – mocking cults while putting the band’s discovery of a box of hazmat suits to good use.

Their lead single “Olive Boy”, is a jazzy, mellow tune that you’ll want to play on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $25. Doors open at the 9:30 Club at 8pm. Opening for STRFKR.
