Enjoy a free beer at a few places in Shaw this week!

The Partners in Preservation: Main Streets (sponsored by American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation) contest gives the winners funding to preserve their exteriors. DC’s entry is Ivy and Coney. The prize is a grant to update their facade. Let’s hope if they do win, Ivy and Coney can fix what is needed, yet somehow keep the run-down look, as aids in its dive bar atmosphere.
