Eat This: Carne Mechada @ Arepa Zone (Union Market)

Dear Venezuela, thank you for your arepas! Please give us more!

Arepa Zone’s arepas are thick and the shredded beef in the Carne Mechada option was tender and delicious.

I’m no arepa expert, but I’ll have more of these. Arepas come from the word ‘erepa’, which means corn in a native tribe’s dialect.

They also serve Tres Leches, so I went back for that another time. Of course.
