Do This: Port to Port Beer Festival (8/16/25)

Beer!

Port City Brewing Company is hosting their second Port to Port Beer Festival on Saturday, August 16th.

With the price of admission, you’ll get a commemorative 5 oz. glass and unlimited pours. The Tasting Room and outdoor Beer Garden will remain open to the public for regular business, but you need a ticket to get the festival beers. Last year you had to buy drink tickets, but they rightly updated to unlimited pours.

Why this beer festival? How often do you get over to Port City Brewing Company in Alexandria if you live in DC? Here’s an excuse to correct that. They’ll have an expanded cast of 19 breweries (14 last year), mostly local (including five DC breweries, up from two last year) (see list below). There will also be yard games, a DJ, and a taco station from La Tingeria.

The best reason is always the beer! Port City Brewing will release their newest collaboration with Stone Brewing, Vasen Brewing, and North American Sake Brewing called Koji Kai. You can taste this dry-hopped Grisette brewed with Koji rice at the festival. From the Press Release: Koji Kai blends flavors derived from regional malt with Koji, an ancient handcrafted Japanese fermentation ingredient. Fermented with Belgian saison yeast and dry-hopped with alora and nelson-sauvin hops, this Grisette achieves wonderful complexity while remaining crisp and sessionable at 4.5% ABV. Port City will also feature a sour called Watermelon Gose.

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $50 (early bird until 8/11; $60 after) for unlimited pours. 12pm-4pm
