In 2024, I witnessed 52 concerts (or 120 sets) across 19 local venues, including a ton of local bands.
My most visited concert venue was the 9:30 Club with eight concerts, followed by The Atlantis (7), Songbyrd Music House (6), Pie Shop (5), and a dead heat with DC9, The Anthem, and the Black Cat with three each.

8. Nico Vega w/ MIHI NIHIL @ The Atlantis (7/30/24) – A rocking show, where the openers killed and Nico Vega enthralled. Also, the actor Michael Peña plays bass for Nico Vega!
7. GROUPLOVE @ 9:30 Club (3/26/24) – I’ve been sleeping on this band, as I haven’t seen them live or listened to them in awhile, but they always put on a great show.

2. Alice Merton @ The Atlantis (5/6/24) – I’ve enjoyed a few of her songs over the years, but had never seen her live. Was blown away at the tiny Atlantis, and have decided that I love her new album.
1. Vampire Weekend @ The Anthem (9/30/24) – It had been about 14 years since they last came to DC, so it was both exciting to see them again and that they delivered. Their new album is great too.
