Beastly beer alert!

2024 makes it twelve years of Snallygaster, the best beer festival in DC. Damn, that’s what we call staying power. The people of DC should represent and be proud we have such a well-run beer extravaganza of our own.
This year it could be even bigger than ever, as there will be around 190 breweries pouring their fine wares in the form of over 450 beers and ciders.

The beers are now dropping on Snally’s IG account! We will do our annual “Jeff’s Beer Sheets” and post that comprehensive guide of all the beers, so you can plan ahead, shortly before Snally Day. Here is last year’s beer sheet.
Why this beer festival? It is the best beer festival in DC. The Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG) brings to life the excellent beer programs at Bluejacket, Churchkey and The Sovereign. NRG puts a lot of effort into curating the Snally beer list, including many rare options, and beers from around the USA or the world.
It is held along Pennsylvania Ave NW (between 3rd and 7th) and you pay a flat fee, with all you can drink beer samples included. Food costs extra. And there is plenty of music. See below.
Snallygaster is also the annual fundraiser for Arcadia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the DC area. Help others, while you drink beer. Our motto.

There will also be a huge record shop added to Snallygaster this year! Mobius Records in Fairfax, VA will bring a big tent next to the 6th Street stage with hundreds of records on hand. And, like last year, there will be a beer podcast stage (you’ll probably get some exciting discussion from our friends at DC Beer once again).
