Steins and the last homestand in DC, anyone?
As of today, the Nationals are 77-75 and have virtually no chance to make the playoffs.
Sigh.
So much potential, so much hype, and in the end just a wasted 2018 season.
Next year, surely Bryce Harper will be gone.
But there’s at least three things to still be excited about!
#1: Max Scherzer could win ANOTHER NL Cy Young, it may be close with Aaron Nola, but probably not.
#2: Juan Soto looks like a superstar in the making.
#3: You can get yourself the 2018 Oktoberfest Stein on September 21st! The Nationals play the Mets on a Friday night! Beautiful weather for a ballgame.
Pitchers for the game are likely Joe Ross (Nationals) and Jacob deGrom (Mets).
